Canandaigua woman dies in Arcadia crash

A Canandaigua woman has died from injuries she sustained when her vehicle went off the road in the town of Arcadia early Saturday, according to the Wayne County Sheriff's Office.

Andrea G. Sprong, 40, was traveling westbound on Old Lyons Road around 1 a.m. when she lost control, veered off the north shoulder of the road and was ejected as the vehicle rolled several times, according to sheriff's deputies.

She was taken to Newark Wayne Community Hospital by ambulance before being transferred by air ambulance to Strong Memorial Hospital, where she died, according to sheriff's deputies.

An investigation is ongoing.
