Name of new Chinese restaurant: I Don't Know

Mark this among one of the most unusual names for a restaurant.

I Don't Know Chinese Restaurant recently opened at 154 Genesee St. in Rochester. Yes, the name of the restaurant is really I Don't Know.

Owner Jessie Dong said she was inspired to name the restaurant by that moniker because whenever she would ask her three children what they want to eat, they would respond with "I don't know."

When it came to naming a restaurant, the family didn't know as well, thus the name I Don't Know Chinese Restaurant, Dong said.

It is a small eatery with only two tables, with most clients opting for take out, Dong said.

The restaurant specializes in traditional Chinese American dishes plus some healthy options, such as fresh spring rolls.

Dong is a native of Guangdong province in China and now lives in Greece with her family.
