Woman ejected from car dies in Parkway crash

One person is dead after a two-vehicle crash Saturday at Lake Ontario State Parkway and Hamlin Parma Townline Road.

Police say an 80-year-old woman - in the back seat of a car - was killed in the crash after she was ejected from the rear of the car after the vehicle collided with a SUV, said Sgt. Dean Tuthill of the Monroe County Sheriff's Office.

Tuthill said the car was heading westbound and making a left turn on Hamlin Parma Townline Road when the eastbound SUV struck the car about 11:15 a.m.

No other injuries were reported. Both drivers were taken to Strong Memorial Hospital as a precaution, Tuthill said.

Deputies are investigating the crash.
