Suspected RPD shooter condition improves

The man suspected of fatally shooting Rochester Police Officer Daryl Pierson is recovering from his injuries.

Thomas Johnson III, 38, of Rochester, has been upgraded from guarded to satisfactory condition at Strong Memorial Hospital as of Sunday morning, according to a hospital spokesperson.
