Timeline: Louise Slaughter's congressional races

Rep. Louise Slaughter just won the biggest political challenge of her congressional career.

Gates Town Supervisor Mark Assini challenged her in the the race for the 25th District in 2014 and on Election Night, the race was deemed too close to call. After counting absentee ballots in the week that followed, Slaughter's lead widened and Assini eventually conceded on Nov. 11.
