Next class of Section V Wrestling Hall of Fame to be inducted

Don Murray, who is in his 46th season as coach at The College at Brockport, is part of a six-man class set for induction into Section V's Wrestling Hall of Fame.

Murray's teams have won five NCAA championships and 136 All-Americans have wrestled in his program. His set up of camps for high school-aged wrestlers is also said to have benefited area athletes. The following individuals also will be honored at the Section 5 Friends of Wrestling induction banquet, Feb. 8 at Red Fedele's Brook House Restaurant in Greece:

Don Murray is in his 46th season as wrestling coach at The College at Brockport.

Lucas Dobbins (Lyons): A four-time Section V champion beginning in 1985.

Joe Gugino (contributor): Ties to the sport as a wrestling match official and coach at Greece Athena. Also was assignment coordinator for officials and chairperson of the John Ordiway Award Committee that selects the most outstanding wrestler during the section's state meet qualifier.

Art Killings (Edison): A Section V champion in 1971, who placed fourth at the state championships.

Joe Kuras (Canandaigua): State and Section V champion in 1981.

Dan Payne (Victor): A sectional champion in 1991 who later placed seventh during the NCAA Championships while at Clarion (Pa.).
